Copper is chosen for its’ durability and resistance to salt air (same material selected for the Statue of Liberty). Glass is chosen for its’ color, uniqueness and durability. The Wind Sculptures are mounted on a 1 ½ inch copper heavy walled pipe, length (or height) to be determined by one’s needs. They are mounted on ½ inch precision ground stainless steel shaft and ride on stainless steel marine type bearings. Installation requires that an aluminum pipe (provided) be set in a concrete pad. The copper Wind Sculpture pole then slides on the aluminum pipe. In the event of a wooden deck a quality umbrella stand (not provided) may be used but must be lagged down.
